This weekend, The Ice Co took on the toughest, muddiest challenge that Yorkshire had to offer…the epic Tough Mudder! This year we had 8 team members step up for the gruelling day out in Skipton, as they endured a 10 mile long course with 22 physical and mentally demanding obstacles.
6 months prior to the event, the team were offered the opportunity to take on the Tough Mudder Full challenge, with each participant given £100 each from the company to donate to a charity of their choice.
One of the most difficult obstacles on the route; Arctic Enema, the icy plunge half way through the course, was one obstacle they couldn’t avoid as we strapped them up with Go Pro’s to film the action. For those who don’t know what the Arctic Enema is, Tough Mudder describe this as ‘TM’s O-Degree Dumpster of Daze”! It is an industrial sized dumpster filled with ice cold water and The Ice Co ice cubes with a wooden divider that Mudders must swim under – the long way.

Over the 10 miles there were many more obstacles to conquer; some high, some low and some with a very strong electric shock! Safe to say the whole team got covered in mud and absolutely wet through. Luckily, our handy GoPros caught most of the action:

Well done to all the team who took part, an incredible effort! It took all 8 members just over 3 hours to complete the course and all crossed the finish line together as a team. They celebrated by washing down the mud with an ice-cold cider from sponsors Kingston Press.
Roll on 2019, lets see if we can get an even bigger team together!
