The Ice Co are excited to announce we have made steps towards reducing the usage of plastic, single use bottles and cups across our sites. One way we have done this is by giving every employee a branded, reusable water bottle.
The bottles are insulated aluminium, keeping drinks cold for up to 24 hours or hot for up to 12 hours – perfect for ice cold drinks or tea & coffee!
We have fitted filtered taps across all sites in canteens to ensure there is suitable drinking water to fill up the bottles. With ice also available to staff to keep drinks ice cold and refreshed for longer.
We’ll be encouraging staff to make an effort to reduce the number of plastic bottles on our sites by the end of 2019.
Already in 2019 we have reduced the weight of plastic we use in our packaging by 10%, with more to come! On this note did you know our ice bags are 100% recyclable?
