If you’re planning a date night and are looking for a delicious drink to serve, then look no further! We have listed our five favourite gin based cocktails to make your date night extra special! Featuring 2 recipes from our good friends at Silent Pool Gin.
Long Island Iced Tea
A long island iced tea is definitely a classic cocktail that’s perfect for a date night! Have fun raiding the drinks cupboard and creating a boozy but delicious cocktail.
Ingredients:
x2 handfuls Polar Cube Ice
x1/2 measure Tequila
x1/2 measure Cointreau
x1/2 measure Vodka
x1/2 measure Gin
x1/2 measure White rum
x3/4 measure Lemon juice
Top up: Coke
Garnish: Lime wedge
Method:
1. Build the spirits and Cointreau in a glass over plenty of Polar Cube Ice.
2. Top with coke, you will notice the drink turn to an iced tea colour.
3. Stir, garnish and serve!
Silent Pool Party
We’ve teamed up with Silent Pool to create a super refreshing gin cocktail perfect for summer!
Ingredients:
x2 handfuls Polar Cube Ice
x50ml Silent Pool Gin
x25ml lime juice
x15ml rhubarb syrup
x15ml Merlet Crème de Fraise
x25ml sparkling apple juice
Garnish: Strawberries or rhubarb ribbon
Method:
1. Add x1 handful of ice to a highball glass and build up using the remaining ingredients.
2. Stir well before garnishing with strawberries or a rhubarb ribbon if in season.
3. Serve & enjoy!
Pink Pineapple Passion
A blissful tropical treat for those warm sunny days!
Ingredients:
x2 handfuls Polar Cube Ice
x1 & 1/2 measures gin
x4 measures pineapple juice
x1 measure Campari Bitters
x1/2 measure lime juice
Garnish: Pineapple wedge
Garnish: Pineapple chunk and orange peel
Method:
1. Add x1 handful of ice and all the other ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
2. Shake for 30 seconds and strain into a tall glass over the remaining large ice cubes.
3. Garnish with a pineapple chunk, orange peel and serve!
Cucumber Collins
A Tom Collins with a cucumber twist. A popular cocktail choice at most bars in the UK.
Ingredients:
x2 handfuls Polar Cube Ice
x2 measures gin
x1 measure Limoncello
x1/2 measure lemon juice
1/4 measure sugar syrup
Top up: Soda water
Garnish: Cucumber & mint
Method:
1. Fill a tall glass with Polar Cube Ice.
2. Pour in the gin, Limoncello, lemon juice and sugar syrup.
3. Top up with soda water and stir. Garnish with a cucumber slice, mint and serve.
Rare Citrus Highball with Silent Pool
If you need something to refresh your taste buds this summer then this drink is for you!
Ingredients:
x1 handful of Polar Cube Ice
x35ml Silent Pool Rare Citrus Gin
x15ml Umeshu
x15ml Yuzu Juice
x10ml Sugar
Top up: Soda water
Method:
1. Add the ice, gin, Umeshu, juice and sugar to a glass and stir.
2. Top with the soda water and garnish with an orange peel twist and thyme!
