There’s always one in every friend group – that person who can’t put their phone down, no matter the occasion.
This summer, we want friends and family alike to have a break from their device. So, to give them a some encouragement towards becoming a bit more IT-total, we’ve come up with five fun forfeits that you can use next time a party guest isn’t playing by the rules…
-
They must do a shot without using their hands.
This could get messy, and it really is harder than it looks!
If you’re struggling to think of different shot ideas for guests, why not try one of our recipes – a Baby Guinness is a particular favourite…
Ingredients
X 1 Handful Party Ice
X 60ml Coffee Liqueur
X 30ml Irish Cream Liqueur
Method
- Add the Party Ice and Coffee Liqueur to a cocktail shaker
- Shake well – about 30 seconds to 1 minute
- Strain into shot glasses and gently top with Irish Cream Liqueur
- Allow a few moments for the shot to settle
- Enjoy responsibly!
-
Let the person to their right make a ‘cocktail’ of their choice…
That’s right, and your guest facing the forfeit must drink it! Kitchen cupboard essentials such as tomato ketchup and Rice Krispies have long been popular ingredients for forfeit shots, but there’s nothing stopping you getting creative. Make sure you pay attention to any potential allergies on this one.
-
Take on the After Eight Mint challenge…but with an ice cube.
We all know the After Eight challenge – nearly every household has spent at least one Christmas time trying to wiggle the so-named chocolate mint from forehead to mouth using only your face. Well, now have a go with an ice cube – and yes, it’s as hard as it sounds. If your guest can do this before it melts, then we’re seriously impressed. For an extra laugh, why not time the person doing the forfeit, against the clock? Or, even harder, a sand timer?
-
Down their drink.
It’s a rum-do if your glass is full (see what we did there!), but the rules are the rules. If they’re on the soft drinks for the night, a pint of water or mocktail still works!
-
Swap drinks with the person next to them.
The chance that they might be trading a freshly made cocktail for a pint of mostly warm beer is what makes this forfeit one of the worst, and hence why it’s last. So, guests beware – you go on your phone at your own peril!
And that’s a wrap! Make sure your guests know that they’re facing a forfeit ahead of time, so they can come prepared and know that by checking their phone, they might be taking chances…
