Christmas is just around the corner and we’re here to make planning for this year’s festivities a little bit easier with some delicious recipes. We’ve created 5 ice-cold Christmas drinks each inspired by an iconic festive film, so if you’re cosying up for a movie marathon this December, make sure to pair it with one (or all) of these icy tipples!
Scrooge’s Festive Punch - Serves 8
Ingredients
x 1 bag Party Ice
x 500ml Cranberry Juice
x 1 bottle Prosecco
x 235ml Apple Cider
x 170ml Ginger Ale
x 170ml Brandy
Garnish: 2 oranges, cranberries and cinnamon sticks
Method
1. Fill a large punch bowl with Party Ice and add all ingredients.
2. Stir gently to combine.
3. To serve, garnish with orange wheels, fresh cranberries and cinnamon sticks.
Santa’s Strawberry Smash Mocktail - Serves 2
Ingredients
x 2 handfuls Party Ice
x 1 cup Fresh Strawberries
x 30ml Simple Syrup
x 30ml Elderflower cordial
Juice of 1 Lime
Top Up: Sparkling Water
Garnish: Big & Mini Marshmallows, Fresh Strawberries and 100g White Chocolate
Method
1. Melt 100g of white chocolate then take 2 Collins glasses and carefully drip your white chocolate around the rim of the glass. Place the glasses in the fridge to set.
2. Take the glasses out of the fridge and split the strawberries between the 2 glasses. Add half of the simple syrup, half of the elderflower cordial and half of the lime juice to your glass. Add the remaining halves of the syrup, cordial and lime juice to your other glass. Use a muddler to combine the fruit and ingredients until the juices from the strawberries are released.
3. Fill both glasses with Party Ice then top up with sparkling water. Stir to combine.
4. Finally to serve, create mini Santa hat garnishes by cutting the end off two strawberries and slice 2 rounds off a large marshmallow. Take a cocktail stick and add the slice of marshmallow, then the strawberry and the mini marshmallow on top then repeat for the 2nd garnish. Add to your drinks and serve!
The Who Who - Serves 1
Ingredients
x 1 handful Polar Cube ice
x 1 handful Party Ice
x 25ml Vodka
x 50ml Midori
x 3 Lime Wedges
Top up: Ginger Ale
Garnish: Red Sugar, Sugar Syrup, Lime wheel, Candy Cane
Method
1. Add a couple of tablespoons of sugar syrup to a saucer and dip in the rim of your glass. Add your red sugar to another saucer and dip the glass into the sugar to coat the rim, then set aside.
2. Drop three lime wedges into the base of a shaker and muddle. Add Party Ice, vodka and Midori and shake.
3. Fill your glass with Polar Cube ice and pour the mix over the ice, then top up with ginger ale. Garnish with a lime wheel and a candy cane to serve.
The Snowman’s White Chocolate Milkshake - Serves 1
Ingredients
x 1 handful Party Ice
x 2 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream
x 150ml Milk
x 3tbsp White Chocolate Sauce
Garnish: Milk Chocolate Chips, White Chocolate Sauce, Glace Cherry, Whipped Cream, White Chocolate Shavings
Method
1. Melt a little bit of white chocolate and carefully dab onto the back of 3 milk chocolate chips before sticking onto the front of your glass in a vertical line, leave for 10 mins to set.
2. Add a handful of Party Ice to a blender with the vanilla ice cream, milk and chocolate sauce. Blend until smooth.
3. Take your glass and drizzle white chocolate sauce around the inside, then pour in your milkshake. To serve, garnish with whipped cream, white chocolate shavings and a glace cherry.
Jack Frost’s Hawaiian Winter - Serves 2
Ingredients
x 2 handfuls Party Ice
x 4-6 Super Cubes
x 80ml Malibu Coconut Rum
x 60ml Blue Curacao
x 80ml Pineapple Juice
Top up: Lemonade
Garnish: Shaved Coconut, Sugar Syrup
Method
1. Add a few tablespoons of sugar syrup to a saucer and dip the rims of two glasses into the syrup. Then dip your glasses into the shaved coconut to coat the rim then set aside.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with Party Ice and add the Malibu, blue curacao and pineapple juice. Shake well to combine.
3. Add 2-3 Super Cubes to each glass. Strain the cocktail from the shaker equally between the two glasses, then top up with lemonade to serve.
