Summer is the season of the Aperol Spritz, but is the OG recipe necessarily the best? From a shaken sour served in a martini glass to a hot honey spritz, these Aperol cocktails will have you second-guessing next time you hit the bar!
Aperol Margarita
Ingredients
x 2-3 Super Cubes
x 1 handful Party Ice
x 20ml Aperol
x 40ml Tequila
x 40ml Fresh Orange Juice
Juice of 1 Lime
Garnish: Salt, Lime & Orange Zest, Lime Wedge and Orange Wedge
Method
1. Zest a lime and an orange and mix with salt on a small plate. Rim your glass with an orange wedge and then dip the rim into the mixture to coat and set aside.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with Party Ice and add the Aperol, tequila, fresh orange and lime juice. Shake well to combine.
3. Add 2-3 Super Cubes to your glass along with an orange wheel, then pour the cocktail into the glass.
4. To Serve, garnish with a lime twist. Enjoy your Aperol Margarita!
Aperol Vodka Orange Spritz
Ingredients
x 2 handfuls Polar Cube ice
x 50ml Vodka
x 25ml Aperol
x 50ml Orange Juice
Top Up: Soda Water
Garnish: Orange wedge & thyme sprigs
Method
1. Fill a glass with ice and add the vodka, Aperol, and orange juice
2. Top up with soda water and gently stir to combine the ingredients.
3. Garnish with a orange wedge and thyme sprigs and serve!
Aperol Limoncello Punch
Ingredients
x 1 handful Polar Cube ice
x 10ml Vodka
x 20ml Limoncello
x 30ml Aperol
Top Up: Orange Juice
Garnish: Orange Peel and a Lemon Slice
Method
1. Fill your glass with Polar Cube ice and add the vodka, Limoncello and Aperol.
2. Top up with orange juice and stir well to combine.
3. To serve, garnish with a lemon slice and orange peel. Enjoy your Aperol Limoncello Punch!
Hot Honey Aperol Spritz
Ingredients
x 2-3 Super Cubes
x 1 handful Party Ice
x 40ml Aperol
x 45ml Hot Honey Syrup
Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
Garnish: Orange slice & Mini Chilli Pepper
Method
1. To make the hot honey syrup, muddle a slice of habanero in 30ml hot water, then add 60ml honey, stir to combine then strain out the habanero.
2. Add a handful of Party Ice to a cocktail shaker then add the Aperol, hot honey syrup and lemon juice. Shake well to combine.
3. Add 2-3 Super Cubes to a short glass and strain in the cocktail. Add the soda water then top up with prosecco, stir briefly and gently to combine.
4. To Serve, garnish with an orange slice and a mini chilli pepper. Enjoy your Hot Honey Aperol Spritz!
Aperol Peach Fizz
Ingredients
x 3 Super Cubes
x 1 Peach (Sliced)
x 15ml Lime Juice
x 30ml Aperol
x 30ml Tequila
x 15ml Honey
Top Up: Soda Water
Garnish: Salt, Lime Zest, Peach Slice & a Sprig of Mint
Method
1. Add the sliced peach, lime juice, Aperol, Tequila, Triple Sec and Honey to a cocktail shaker and muddle well. Dry shake to combine.
2. Zest a lime onto a plate with salt, then rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip into the mixture to coat.
3. Double strain your cocktail into a glass filled with Super Cubes. Top up with soda water and garnish with a peach slice and aasprig of mint to serve.
Aperol Strawberry Spritz
Ingredients
x 1 handful Polar Cube ice
x 50ml Prosecco
x 25ml Aperol
x 25ml Strawberry Liqueur
Top Up: Soda Water
Garnish: Strawberries & Orange Wheels
Method
1. Add the ice, Aperol and strawberry liqueur to a cocktail shaker and shake well.
2. Strain over a glass full of ice and pour in the Prosecco and top up with soda water.
3. Garnish with a strawberry and an orange wheel before serving!
Aperol Sour
Ingredients
x 2 handfuls Party Ice
x 25ml Gin
x 50ml Aperol
x 25ml Lemon Juice
x 25ml Simple Syrup
x 2 dashes Orange Bitters
x 1 Egg White
Garnish: Orange Twist
Method
1. Add all the ingredients to a shaker and dry shake your cocktail.
2. Add the Party Ice to the shaker and shake the cocktail again.
3. Double strain into a glass and garnish with an orange twist. Enjoy your Aperol Sour!
Aperol Grapefruit Spritz
Ingredients
x 1 handful Party Ice
x 50ml Gin
x 25ml Aperol
x 25ml Lime Juice
Top Up: Grapefruit Juice
Garnish: Grapefruit Slice
Method
1. Add all the ingredients along with the ice into a cocktail shaker and shake well
2. Strain into a champagne flute or wine glass and garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit!
