It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and we can’t wait to overindulge for the foreseeable future. We’re counting down the days until we enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, sneaking leftovers in the days that follow and of course, sipping on lots of ice-cold drinks! We’ve rounded up some of our favourite Christmas cocktails and drinks so that you can make the most of every moment this festive season.
Now to kick us off, we look forward to seeing the limited edition serves popping up at Costa and Starbucks every Christmas, but since we’re greedy… we wanted to figure out how we could get our hands on them all year round! Here’s 3 of our favourites from recent years
Iced Chocolatey Mousse Latte Starbucks Dupe
Ingredients
X 1 handful Polar Cube Ice
X 1tsp Coffee
X ½tsp Cocoa Powder
X 1tsp Chocolate Sauce
X 15ml Hazelnut Syrup
X 60ml Boiling Water
X 150ml Milk
Garnish: Chocolate Whipped Cream & dusting of cocoa powder
Method
1. Add your coffee to a glass and pour in 60ml boiling water, before mixing together. Add the chocolate sauce, cocoa powder and hazelnut syrup and stir again to combine.
2. Fill your glass up with Polar Cube ice and add the milk.
3. To serve, top with chocolate whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder.
Starbucks Gingerbread Iced Latte Dupe
Ingredients
X 1 handful Polar Cube Ice
x 60ml Espresso
x 175ml Milk
x 30ml Gingerbread Syrup
Top with: Whipped Cream, pumpkin spice and a mini gingerbread
Method
1. Fill your glass with Polar Cube ice and add the milk and gingerbread syrup. Stir.
2. Add the cooled espresso and more polar cube ice if needed.
3. To serve, garnish with whipped cream, pumpkin spice and a mini gingerbread. Enjoy your Starbucks Iced Gingerbread Latte Dupe!
Iced Caramel Nutcracker Latte Costa Dupe
Ingredients
X 1 handful Polar Cube Ice
x 60ml Espresso
x 175ml Milk
x 25ml Toffee Nut Syrup
x 5ml Vanilla Syrup
Top with: Whipped Cream, Caramel Sauce and Festive Sprinkles
Method
1. Fill your glass with polar cube ice and add the milk, toffee nut syrup and vanilla syrup. Stir.
2. Add the cooled espresso and more polar cube ice if needed.
3. To serve, garnish with whipped cream, caramel sauce and festive sprinkles. Enjoy your Caramel Nutcracker Iced Latte Costa Dupe!
Now whislt we love a cocktail as much as the next person, there’s nothing that gets us in the festive spirit lik a Christmas cocktail! Here’s some of our favourite festive serves:
Santa’s Hat Cocktail
Ingredients
X 1 handful Party Ice
X 1tbsp Sugar Syrup
X 3tbsp Desiccated Coconut
X 50ml Fresh Lime Juice
X 50ml Vodka
X 25ml Grenadine
Top Up: Lemon & Lime Soda
Method
1. Add 1tbsp sugar syrup to a plate and add your desiccated coconut to another plate. Dip the rim of your martini glass into the syrup and then into the coconut to coat the rim.
2. Fill a shaker with Party Ice and add the vodka, lime juice and grenadine.
3. Pour the cocktail into your prepared martini glass and top up with lemon and lime soda, stirring gently to combine. Garnish with a candy cane to serve. Enjoy your Santa’s Hat Cocktail!
Apple Pie on The Rocks
Ingredients
X 1 handful Party Ice
X 2 Super Cubes
X 30ml Vanilla Vodka
X 30ml Fireball Whiskey
X 120ml Apple Juice
A pinch of ground cinnamon
Garnish: Sugar Syrup, Brown Sugar & a Cinnamon Stick
Method
1. Add sugar syrup and brown sugar to 2 separate saucers. Dip the rim of a rocks glass into the syrup, then into the sugar to coat. Set aside.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with Party Ice and add vodka, Fireball, apple juice and cinnamon. Shake well to combine.
3. Add 2 Super Cubes to your glass and pour your cocktail over the ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick to serve, enjoy your apple pie on the rocks!
The Christmas Mojito
Ingredients
X 2 handfuls The Crushed One
X 8-10 fresh mint leaves
X 25ml Lime juice
X 2tbsp brown sugar
X 50ml white rum
X 100ml cranberry juice
Top Up: Soda
Garnish: Pomegranate Seeds & a sprig of mint
Method
1. Gently muddle the mint leaves (don’t shred them!), lime juice and sugar in the bottom of a highball glass then pour in your rum and stir.
2. Fill your glass halfway with the crushed one, then add your cranberry juice.
3. Fill the glass the rest of the way with ice and add a little bit of soda water to top up.
4. To serve, garnish with pomegranate seeds and a sprig of mint. Enjoy your Christmas Mojito!
Rum Rum Roldolph
Ingredients
X 1 handful Polar Cube ice
X 110ml Coca-Cola
X 50ml White Rum
X 40ml Cherry Juice
Garnish: 1 Sprig of rosemary and a maraschino cherry
Method
1. Fill a Collins glass up with Polar Cube ice then add the rum, cherry juice and coca-cola. Stir gently to combine.
2. For the garnish, cut your rosemary into 2 2inch pieces, remove the leaves from the bottom half and insert into the top of the maraschino cherry to look like antlers.
3. Add a cocktail stick through the center of your cherry to balance on the side of the glass. Enjoy your Rum Rum Rodolph Cocktail!
Mistletoe Margaritas
Ingredients
X 1 handful Party Ice
X 40ml Tequila Blanco
X 25ml Triple Sec
X 80ml Cranberry Juice
X 15ml Lime Juice
Garnish: 4 Cranberries, 2 large lime wedges, Sugar, Salt & a sprig of mint
Method
1. In a small bowl, toss 4 cranberries with the juice from a wedge of lime. Drain the excess juice, then toss the berries with 1tsp sugar. Add to a baking sheet to dry.
2. Add a 1tbsp salt and 1tbsp sugar to a plate and combine. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass then dip into the mix to coat the rim.
3. Add 1 handful of party ice to a blender, then add the cranberry juice, tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
4. To serve, pour the frozen cocktail into your prepared glass and garnish with the sugared cranberries and a sprig of mint. Enjoy your Mistletoe Margaritas!
Gingerbread Old Fashioned
Ingredients
X 2 Super Cubes
x 1tbsp Gingerbread Syrup
A few dashes Angostura Bitters
x 50ml Bourbon
Garnish: 2 Slices of ginger
Method
1. In a short glass, add the syrup and bitters, stirring to combine.
2. Add 2 Super Cubes to your glass then pour ther bourbon over the ice. Stir well.
3. To serve, garnish with 2 slices of ginger. Enjoy your Gingerbread Old Fashioned.
Aperol Limoncello Punch
Ingredients
X 1 handful Polar Cube ice
x 10ml Vodka
x 20ml Limoncello
x 30ml Aperol
Top up: Orange Juice
Garnish: Orange Peel and a Lemon Slice
Method
1. Fill your glass with Polar Cube ice and add the vodka, Limoncello and Aperol.
2. Top up with orange juice and stir well to combine.
3. To serve, garnish with a lemon slice and orange peel. Enjoy your Aperol Limoncello Punch!
Sloe Gin Fizz
Ingredients
X 1 handful Party Ice
x 2-3 Super Cubes
x 50ml Sloe Gin
x 25ml Lemon Juice
x 25ml Sugar Syrup
Top up: Sparkling Water
Garnish: Lemon Slice & a Fresh Blackberry
Method
1. Fill your cocktail shaker with party ice and add the sloe gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup. Shake well to combine.
2. Fill your glass with Super Cubes and strain the cocktail over the ice. Top up with sparkling water and stir gently.
3. To serve, garnish with a slice of lemon and a fresh blackberry. Enjoy your Sloe Gin Fizz!
Gingerbread Martini
Ingredients
X 1 Handful of Party Ice
x 30ml Caramel Sauce
x 5ml Ground Ginger
x 5ml Mixed Spice
x 50ml Cream
x 50ml Vodka
x 5ml Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur
Garnish: Whipped cream & gingerbread men
Method
1. Combine caramel sauce, mixed spice and ginger in a small jug and stir.
2. Place Party Ice, cream, caramel mixture, vodka and Irish cream liqueur into a cocktail shaker, shake well to combine.
3. Pour into a Martini glass and dollop with whipped cream, decorate with whole and crushed gingerbread men and enjoy!
