If you’re having a movie night this summer we have you covered to make sure it’s the best one yet! We’ve taken some of our favourite movies and turned them into delicious cocktails that are easy to make and taste amazing, alongside a prop to suit each! Our movie inspired cocktails include 50 Shades of Grey, Sex and the City, Titanic, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and You the Netflix hit series. Bramble 50 Shades
A classic Bramble inspired by the movie ’50 Shades of Grey’. It’s dark and indulgent, just like the film! Add a pair of handcuffs and a masquerade mask for 50 shades vibes.
Ingredients:
x2 handfuls Polar Cube Ice
x2 measures gin
x1/2 measure lemon juice
x1/2 measure sugar syrup
x1/2 measure blackberry liqueur
Garnish: Blackberries and a lemon slice
Method:
1. Add half the ice, gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup to a cocktail shaker and shake well.
2. Fill a highball glass with the rest of the ice and strain the mixture.
3. Drizzle the liqueur over the drink to create a ‘bleeding’ effect in the glass, garnish and serve!
Sex and the City Cosmo
A raspberry twist on the classic Cosmopolitan cocktail. Inspired by our favourite rom com movie ‘Sex & the City’! Another fabulous cocktail to enjoy for your movie night. Add Carrie, Samantha, Miranda & Charlotte straws to complete the serve.
Ingredients:
x1 handful Polar Cube Ice
x1 measure vodka
x1/2 measure raspberry syrup
x1/2 measure lime juice
Top up: Cranberry juice
Garnish: Raspberries
Method:
1. Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with the ice.
2. Shake well and strain into a martini glass.
3. Add a handful of raspberries to the drink and serve!
Blue Ocean Titanic
Inspired by the film, our eye-catching ‘Blue Ocean Titanic’ tastes just as good as it looks. Easy to make, it’s perfect for your next movie night! We found the little cute blue boats on Amazon.
Ingredients:
x1 large Polar Cube Ice cube or 1 Super Cube
x1 measure vodka
x1 measure violet liqueur
x1/2 measure blue curacao
Top up: Lemonade
Garnish: Lemon wedge & blue sugar crystals
Method:
1. Dye sugar crystals with blue food colouring. Turn the rim of the glass in the blue sugar crystals.
2. Add ice, vodka, violet liqueur and blue curacao to a cocktail shaker and shake well.
3. Strain over a large ice cube and top up with lemonade. Garnish and serve!
Breakfast at Tiffany's Martini
A Breakfast Martini that tastes so good you’ll feel like you really are having Breakfast at Tiffany’s! Pair it with some pearls, long gloves and a cigarette holder.
Ingredients:
x1 handful Polar Cube Ice
x2 tbsp orange marmalade
x15ml lemon juice
x15ml Cointreau triple sec liqueur
x2 measures dry gin
Garnish: Orange twist
Method:
1. Stir the marmalade with the gin in the base of a shaker until it dissolves.
2. Add the other ingredients and shake with the ice.
3. Strain into a coupe glass, garnish and serve!
You Bloody Mary
A Bloody Mary inspired by the hit TV show ‘You’! The perfect drink to make for a TV marathon night! Double up on the ingredients for more servings. Serve with plenty of rose petals.
Ingredients:
x1 handful Polar Cube Ice
x2 measures vodka
x1/2 lemon juiced
x1 dash of Worcestershire sauce
x1 dash of Tabasco sauce
Top up: Tomato juice
Garnish: Olive, black pepper, celery and lemon slice
Method:
1. Fill a glass with the ice and pour in the vodka.
2. Add the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce.
3. Top with tomato juice and stir well before garnishing then serve!
