Whether it’s a relaxing Netflix evening on the sofa, or al fresco dining by the fire pit, take inspiration from the world-renowned mixologist.
In Pritesh’s words…
”A mid-week date night to break up the week should be on everyone’s agenda, and, date night is usually centred around food and drink. That’s why it’s so important to get it right! If you’ve got the nibbles and beverages right, everything else flows.
It’s important that you can make something quick and easy, so you can make the most of time with each other. Plus, mixing cocktails together can also be a fun, romantic experience and it can be turned into a date-night activity and talking point.
I’d recommend starting with the drinks, and then building your menu around them. Try these for starters…”
GRAPEFRUIT AND THYME SPRITZ
My next date-night favourite is a grapefruit and thyme spritz. It’s refreshing but has a bit of zing and zest to it, to leave a tang on the taste buds. It’s perfect for chilling in the garden and watching the sun go down. I like to pair this one with light nibbles rather than a sit-down meal.
Ingredients
- x2 handfuls of Polar Cube ice
- x30ml of Aperol
- x20ml of Lillet Rose Vermouth
- x20ml of pink grapefruit juice
- Top up: Rose lemonade
- Garnish: Thyme
Method
1. Shake the Aperol, Vermouth, grapefruit juice, and a sprig of thyme with 1 handful of Polar Cube ice.
2. Tea strain the mix into a glass.
3. Top with Rose Prosecco, garnish and serve. Delicious!
