Struggling to maintain a social life whilst trying to save money? Then a Paint & Sip night is for you! Organising something like this with a group of friends with brimming diaries can sometimes be difficult, so we’re going to make it easier. Lucky for you, we have the perfect step-by-step sip and paint guide if you’re in the mood for hosting. Not only that but we have a list of essentials that we’ve dug out to find you everything you’ll need for a group of six at the cheapest cost. The best thing about a Paint & Sip night is you don’t need to be an expert painter. Whether you’re a modern-day Pablo Picasso or have the creative skills of a toddler, to quote the painting icon Bob Ross himself “There are no mistakes, just happy accidents” and it is all about having fun. First things first, grab two bags of Party Ice from your local and an ice bucket, you’ll need it later!
Below is a list of products found on Amazon, all of which have the option for free next-day delivery for Prime customers.
Painting Essentials
63.15/6 = £10.53 each!
Secondly, the essentials, you cannot have a paint & sip night without the sip. Your sip of choice depends on your people; however, we recommend bottles of wine or Prosecco. Not only are they more cost effective for the group but can be kept ice-cold and close in a bucket of Party Ice – this means less painting and gossip interruptions. Despite hosting, we recommend you agree to split the costs of food and drink as well as painting with the group, making it a great social activity for less than £15 each! We’ve curated a list of Aldi essentials below which is suited for a group of six. The list consists of a charcuterie board (the perfect sophisticated party sharer to snack on) and three bottles of wine all for £26.52, equating to £4.42 each!

Preparing your Painting Station
Now you’ve got all your essentials for the perfect paint & sip evening it’s time to begin! Grab your ice bucket and empty the two bags of Party Ice into it before placing the three bottles of wine in to chill. Whilst they chill, you can begin dressing the table. We suggest a dining table, so your easels have a flat surface, and you can sit comfortably with your pallet and paints within reach. However, if you do not have access to a dining table that fits six, a comfortable painting area in the living room around a coffee table will suffice. We’ve carefully selected everything to ensure that you have the perfect Insta-worthy painting table. Begin by laying the table protector in your chosen spot to ensure no paint gets anywhere it shouldn’t! Then continue by carefully laying each canvas and easel and individual pallets in each person’s designated spot.
In the centre of the table, ensure you have the collection of paints, brushes, and multiple glasses of water for brush washing and most importantly –your bucket of ice-cold wine! By the time you’ve set up your painting area, the Party Ice should have perfectly chilled your wine.
Get creative!
Time to put on a playlist that gets your creative juices flowing and begin discussing amongst yourselves what you are each going to paint – we suggest using Pinterest for funky designs. It’s such a fun evening which costs not much more than a few drinks you’d get on a night out! With the items, food and drink we’ve provided – you’ll have spent £14.95 each!
