During October 2025, we invited all of our employees to take part in the Great Place to Work survey for the 3rd time, to tell us honestly what it’s like to work at The Ice Co. Now, we’re thrilled to announce that with the feedback from our colleagues, not only did our 2024 results make us one of the UK’s best workplace in Manufacturing, Production and Transportation in 2025 but we are Great Place To Work certified yet again for the 3rd year in a row!
What is Great Place to Work Certification?
Great Place to Work Certification is a recognition for employers who create an outstanding employee experience. This is decided using the results from their survey taken by the employees.
How did we compare to other UK businesses?
We were incredibly pleased that 91% of employees at The Ice Co said that it was a great place to work. Not only is this a great improvement on the 76% we achieved last year, it’s considerably higher than the 54% of employees at a typical UK-based company and the 84% benchmark for manufacturing businesses! We’ve worked incredibly hard to create a workplace and build a team that aligns with our core values;

Employee well-being is of the utmost importance to us here, which is why we now have 17 trained Mental Health First Aiders, compulsory training for all staff in Mental Health Awareness and a wellness room on site available 24/7 for drop-ins. We feel very strongly about ensuring the team has adequate training and tips to look after their own and others’ mental health. We saw this duty of care reflected in this year’s results, with over 95% of people working here believing they are treated fairly regardless of their gender, sexual orientation and race.
