The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI for short) are the very important team who save lives at sea. They rely on volunteers and support to run their lifesaving services. When they approached us recently with a request for ice to keep G&T’s ice cold at their upcoming ‘Yellow Welly Gin Club’ Gin Festival, it was a no brainer that we wanted to help!
The event took place on Saturday 8th September and was a great success for the team at RNLI Penarth. With the help of the attendees and the sponsors, the event managed to raise a whopping £1750!

‘The RNLI depends entirely on donations in order to fund its activities around the coast. Last year alone the Lifeboats were launched 8436 times and over 24,000 people were helped by our beach lifeguards. The Yellow Welly Gin Club donation of £1,750 is almost exactly the amount it costs to provide the personal protection equipment for a volunteer on an inshore lifeboat ensuring that they stay safe whilst out there Saving Lives at Sea.’
G&T’s were kept ice cold throughout the night with the help of our super-sized ice cubes, Super Cubes! Well done to everyone involved on the night, it looked like it was a lot of fun. Keep updated with the events they have planned next by liking RNLI Penrath on Facebook.
We’re on the hunt for your favourite gin festivals….know about an upcoming event that could benefit from the helping hand of Super Cubes to complete the perfect serve?
Send us the details of the event or if you are the event organiser then speak to us! See our contact page for details.
