The Ice Co Recruitment Open Day 2023

Diaries at the ready, The Ice Co have an important day to add to your calendar next year! On Saturday the 14th January we are hosting a recruitment open day to find some new faces to join our award-winning team. We’re opening our doors to give you the chance to see what it’s like to work for the No.1 ice brand in the UK, going behind the scenes of our factory where you can even see how our ice is made!

Open to everyone from 10am – 2pm, you’ll have the opportunity to meet our dedicated team who are tasked with keeping the nation stocked up on ice all year round. We’ll also give you a tour of our state-of-the-art ice factory where products like our bestselling Party Ice is made, bagged and shipped not only across the UK, but Europe too!

Not only will you get chance to peak behind the curtain at Europe’s leading ice manufacturer and supplier, but you’ll also get to learn more about the competitive benefits and pay rates on offer at The Ice Co. We’ll keep you toasty all day with free hot drinks and snacks and better yet, you’ll leave with free gifts, drinks recipes and best of all, free ice. We will even be giving you the chance to win a £500 gift voucher on the day; we can’t think of a better way to start 2023!

As well as giving employees a £750 welcome bonus after 12 weeks, we organize social events throughout the year for all staff that you wouldn’t want to miss. 2022 has been one of our most exciting years yet, from keeping the nation cool throughout one of the hottest summers on record to raising over £14,000 at our Annual Charity Day, no one day is ever the same! This year saw us halt production to get everyone involved across the company, with 12 teams battling it out in a series of head to heads in our Ice Games obstacle course. Throughout the day we made sure to keep everyone’s energy levels up with gourmet burgers and most importantly raised a huge amount of money for 22 incredible charities.

Additionally, every December we bring the company together to celebrate all of our hard work throughout the year with a Christmas party. This year we had a fantastic day out at the races, uniting teams from across the company at Doncaster Racecourse where we enjoyed pie and peas and even backed a few winners!

For us, 2023 is already off to a cracking start having secured a place as finalists for not one, but two awards at the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards, including Site Team of the Year and Frozen Foods Manufacturing Company of the Year! We’re already gearing up for another scorcher of a summer full of exciting partnerships and free ice for all our staff; the BEST work perk you can ask for when the sun’s out.

Our open day will give you the perfect opportunity to experience what life at The Ice Co looks like, with many of our team now working with us for a number years some have even been a part of the family for over 15 years.
