Create your own beer garden at home for this summer’s Euros

Children Playing Football Match With Father And Grandfather At Summer Garden Party

The UEFA Euros 2024 is almost upon us, but it’s not the only thing we’re hoping is ‘coming home’ this summer! Follow these hosting tips so you can hold legendary Euros parties right in your own beer garden.

With The Ice Co providing the perfect ice for every occasion, you can keep your drinks chilled and your friends happy throughout the tournament. Try Party Ice – perfect for chilling bottles, or larger-sized cubes, Polar Cube ice, for any sharing fishbowls or pitchers!

  1. Picking the prime plot

Before you start setting up your beer garden, take some time to choose the perfect spot. Look for an area that offers a good balance of sunlight and shade, and consider factors like proximity to the house, accessibility, and views of your TV or projector screen. You’ll want to create a comfortable and inviting space where guests can relax and enjoy the matches without any distractions. Don’t forget to ensure you keep those iced drinks out of the sun, so they stay perfectly chilled throughout the game!

  1. Best seat in the house

Once you’ve found the sweet, sweet spot, it’s time to set up your seating and tables. Mix it up with chairs, benches, and bean bags to please all your guests – you don’t want everyone left on the bench, do you?

Arrange them in cozy clusters or around tables and don’t forget to have enough tables for drinks and snacks and throw in some outdoor rugs or cushions for that extra comfort and chilled out vibe!

  1. Setting the vibe

Now it’s time to ramp up the atmosphere in your beer garden. Throw up some fairy lights or outdoor lanterns to give it that cozy glow, and why not add some candles or torches for a little extra flair when the sun goes down? For entertainment, set up a projector and so you can show all the matches outside – just make sure to pick a shady spot for the screen so there’s no glare.

  1. Food and drink

No beer garden is complete without delicious food and refreshing drinks. Stock up on a variety of beverages, including beer, cider, wine, and soft drinks, and keep them chilled with plenty of Party Ice. Set up a buffet or BBQ station with a selection of snacks, finger foods, and BBQ favourites to keep guests well-fed throughout the matches.

Bonus tip: Consider offering themed dishes or snacks inspired by the countries competing in the Euros for an extra touch!

  1. Adding some flair

Spruce up your beer garden with football-themed decorations and accessories. Hang flags or banners representing the countries competing in the Euros and use team colours to decorate tables and seating areas.

With these tips, you can create the ultimate beer garden at home for Euros 2024, providing a comfortable, inviting, and entertaining space for you and your guests to enjoy the matches in style!
